The primary role of System Engineering Research Division (SERD) is to develop efficient engineering design systems and new mechanical systems - such as core technologies and system integration technology. The research fields of SERD includes maglev technologies for urban and super-high speed train; modeling, simulation and control technologies for machinery systems; and machinery reliability and structure technologies.
