The Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials will challenge for the future,
advancing technologies for all humankind!
Since its foundation in 1976, the Korea Institute of Machinery & Materials (KIMM) has been supporting the development of Korea’s economy while driving the growth of the nation’s manufacturing and mechanical industries.
Various advanced technologies are emerging in this era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, surprising the world with new innovations. With its cutting-edge mechanical technologies such as smart manufacturing and 3D printing, KIMM is opening up the renaissance of Korean manufacturing industry.
Furthermore, KIMM is researching creative and challenging mechanical technologies that can bring direct changes into our day-to-day activities. We are paving the way in turning the imaginary technologies – such as sustainable energy technology, environment-friendly technology for the Earth, or the safe and reliable mechanical technology – into real practical technologies that provide hopes to our citizens.
For these purposes, KIMM and all of its members are committed to working diligently to cultivate an organizational culture that respects diversity and creativity and an atmosphere for mutual respect and collaboration, creating a self-generated driving force to break through any difficulties that lie ahead.
KIMM promises to solidify its position as a research institute that aims beyond national economic growth and researches creative and challenging technologies essential for all humankind and for the future.
