T) 061-688-3371 , F) 061-688-3379 *.Columbian Chemicals Korea (CCK) needs a vibration consultant with expertise in modal analysis of rotating machinery to perform the following scope on a new, uncommissioned, vertical mill originally intended for operation at 2050 rpm maximum. The weight of the rotor assembly is approximately 2.4 MT. Lifting, positioning of the rotor assembly, and installation into mill housing, will be provided by CCK. Consultant is to provide a proposal describing his method for doing the following tasks, and will provide a schedule and cost estimate and note his availability (immediate response is preferred). 1. With rotor assembly vertically hanging by top of rotor: a. Find first natural frequencies between 0 and 10,000 rpm (both torsional and bending). 2. With rotor assembly horizontally simply supported at bearing areas: a. Find first natural frequencies between 0 and 10,000 rpm (both torsional and bending). b. Perform vibration modal analysis to identify and characterize the first five mode shapes 3. With rotor installed in mill housing (machine assembled, with belts installed, but not running): a. Perform bump test, measuring only for natural frequencies (without mode shapes) 4. Conduct vibration spectrum analysis in the frequency domain with the machine running (horizontal axis plotted as frequency, vertical axis as acceleration). Speed/rpm for this test will be determined by review of results for first natural frequency from items 1-3 above. 5. Provide recommendation for safe operating speed of machine |
