□ Tunku Zain Al-'Abidin Tuanku Muhriz, a pro-chancellor of UCSI University, visited the Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials(President Seog-Hyeon Ryu, hereinafter referred to as KIMM) on May 21th.

□ UCSI University is one of Malaysia's first private higher education institutions, now a comprehensive university, which has been established in 1986. Over the years, students from 120 different countries have studied here, making the campus a melting pot of culture and diversity. The main campus of university is located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and other additional campuses are located in Sarawak and Terengganu. There are wide range of major courses in engineering, medicine, pharmacy, business, music, design and more. UCSI University strongly emphasis on industry-academia collaboration and global partnerships with universities and research institutions around the world.


□ Tunku Zain Al-'Abidin Tuanku Muhriz, a Malaysian royal and a co-founder and board member of the university, is a well-respected public intellectual, social advocate and cultural patron. Tunku Zain has a wealth of experience in thought leadership, education, civic responsibility and the arts. As the founding president of the Institute for Demorcracy and Economic Affairs(IDEAS), he is actively involved in policy reform, good governance and inclusive development. He is also a columnist, pianist and an ardent advocate of Malaysia's diverse heritage.


□ Tunku Zain said that he was deeply impressed by KIMM's research fields and achievements. Through this visit, he expressed his hope that the two institutions would share their expertise and research capabilities in mechanical engineering, and establish a practical partnership through joint research and technological exchanges in the future.
